About our warranty
Eastman House / Millbrook warranties are made only to the original retail purchaser and do not cover merchandise purchased as used, second hand, or distressed. These warranties do not cover normal wear and tear.
Various components utilized for the comfort layers will settle and compress due to the individual user. This “settling” or compression is not a structural or design defect, but is a normal, expected result. Compression of upholstery of 2 inches or less is NOT considered to be “sagging” of the mattress. Compression of upholstery is not covered under this limited warranty. Sagging occurs when the mattress has a depression of more than 2 inches or more of the original mattress height.
Eastman House/Millbrook warrants this product is free from defects in workmanship and materials and will remain serviceable under normal use and service for the warranty period, beginning with the date of purchase by the consumer, subject to specific limitations and exceptions subsequently set forth in this warranty.
If this product develops defects for reasons other than misuse or neglect within the Warranty period, the mattress and/or foundation will be repaired or replaced, at the factory’s discretion. The customer is responsible for returning the product to the dealer from whom purchased, or to nearest factory location. Replacement or repairs will be made with charges as outlined on the Warranty schedule. Exclusive of transportation costs.
Eastman House/ Millbrook, reserves the right to refuse service when the product is found to be stained, soiled, in unsanitary conditions, or when product failure is due to causes of misuse or abuse, including folding or bending. Bent border wires on the mattress will be considered the result of product abuse. Always keep your bedding clean. A mattress pad is required, especially if children use your bed. Many State Laws will not allow service workers to handle a mattress with stains or bodily fluids on the mattress.
In the event identical materials are not available to be used in the replacement or repair of the mattress or foundation, Eastman House reserves the right to substitute other materials of equal or higher quality. Proof of purchase and the date of manufacture of the product are required. The law label on the mattress or foundation will serve as a means of establishing the date of manufacture.
Removal of the law label will void this warranty. A receipt, or cancelled check, or other acceptable documentation can serve as proof of purchase.
All implied warranties shall be limited to the period of this Limited Warranty unless otherwise required by applicable federal or state law. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts; so, consequently, the foregoing limitations may not apply.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and consumers may also have other rights which vary from state to state. It is recommended for a two sided mattress, that you rotate & flip your mattress every 90 days.
Mattress handles are only to be used for positioning the mattress on the foundation. Never use the handles for lifting or carrying the mattress. Repair of handles, therefore, is not covered under this warranty.
A Queen bed requires a frame with a centre support in order to validate the warranty. This provides additional support needed to realize the bed’s benefit for the entire warranty period.
To assure maximum mattress performance, you should equalize these important body impressions. Simply turn the mattress end to end, and upside down occasionally during the first three months of use. Then turn it every six months thereafter. This lets your mattress adjust smoothly and evenly to your body weight.
One sided mattresses do not need to be turned, rotation from head to toe is recommended. To assure proper mattress support, insist on a genuine Millbrook foundation. It is designed to support the special construction in your mattress. maximum service and support.
Never bend or fold you Mattress. (Excluding sofa and adjustable mattresses)
Transportation charges are the responsibility of the consumer
20 Year Pro-Rated-Limited warranties.
First 10 years-no charge. The second 10 years under this arrangement, you are responsible for paying a certain percentage of the cost of repairing or replacing the mattress.
Example: With a claim at 12 years, the consumer will pay 60% on the today`s price. This percentage will typically get larger as time goes on.
